Clients who want to set up group critical illness cover have plenty of providers to choose from, such as Bupa, Canada Life and Unum.
Bupa recently enhanced its product by offering access to medical information, advice and guidance through its best doctors service which is its core product. It covers two fewer standard conditions and eight fewer extra conditions than Aviva, so could have more appeal to employers on a budget. It does not have an option to cover spouses and civil partners but this option is available within a flexible benefits scheme.
